About Us

Transition Industries develops, constructs, and operates net-zero emissions world-scale methanol, hydrogen, and ammonia facilities to help transition the global economy to net-zero emissions and address climate change. We are developing facilities in locations in North America that will supply the global economy.

The mission of Transition Industries is to reduce global greenhouse emissions, increase natural resource efficiency, and protect the natural environment and biodiversity, including our lakes, rivers, and oceans.

We are led by an experienced team of professionals with substantial financial, legal, environmental, engineering, and operations experience in large scale projects across the world. Methanol

Methanol – The simplest alcohol (CH3OH) — is a chemical building block for hundreds of everyday products, including plastics, paints, car parts and construction materials.  Our methanol production will have net-zero emissions and help address climate change.

Ammonia

Ammonia is a chemical used in a variety of industrial applications and in the home.  In addition to being used as a fertilizer, it is used in wastewater treatment, leather, rubber, paper, food and beverage industries. It also is used cold storage or refrigeration systems and in the production of pharmaceuticals. The emerging applications for zero-carbon ammonia includes transportation.  Our ammonia production will generate net-zero emissions.

Hydrogen

Hydrogen is a chemical building block for many traditional production chemicals processes, including methanol and ammonia, and emerging applications in power generation, transportation, and residential and commercial settings.  Our hydrogen production will generate net-zero emissions.

Our Portfolio

We are developing a portfolio of net-zero emissions world-scale methanol, hydrogen, and ammonia projects in North America to supply customers in both the Pacific and Atlantic Basins.  Our facilities will be the most environmentally friendly world-scale facilities globally, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing natural resource efficiency, and protecting the natural environment, including our water.

Mexinol is a world-scale methanol facility that will be located near Topolobampo, Sinaloa, Mexico.  It will produce more than 5,000 metric tons of methanol per day and be among the most environmentally friendly world-scale facility on a global basis in terms of emissions, water resource efficiency, and environmental footprint.  Mexinol’s production will be exported to markets in the Pacific basin.
